The Peacock Flower

Luiza mentions this plant in their talk. The Peacock Flower has been used in Indigenous healing practices long before the invasion. However, this plant also becomes a  tool to resist the system of colonisation. Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island and Abya Yala and the African continent used this plant to perform abortions to avoid their children being born into slavery and to starve the cannibalistic appetite of colonisation.
